Future High-Technology
- For better future agriculture as a new green growth engine, Future High-Technology field consists of the 5 agenda.
Agenda 1 focuses on the development of bio-medicine, bio-internal organs, and functional farm products through the combination of BT and NT. Agenda 2 is to increase the value-added benefits of agricultural products by utilizing diverse bio-resources. This agenda focuses on the development of crops which are resistant to diseases and pests, able to overcome unfavourable conditions, and have a high value due to diverse and useful genetic material. Agenda 3 is designed to promote the rural economy by developing the intrinsic values of the world's most unexplored resources, insects, as a new source of income, utilizing green amenities that have previously been underdeveloped, and fostering a pleasant rural environment. Agenda 4 is to create the growth of a power source for future agriculture via agricultural automation, the development of fully automated machinery, a factory system for agricultural products, and the development of the fusion technology of BT, IT, and NT. Agenda 5, which consists of three studies: ① support for policies on climate change, ② an appraisal on possible climate change and its effects, and ③ the development of low-carbon environmentally friendly growing techniques, is to develop future agricultural techniques to combat climate change.
